Day 1 / About Me
My name is Victor. I was born in Mexico City and I've been living in Oregon for seven years. I was looking forward to this the whole summer. I had an idea of what the camp was about but I didn't expect it to be this way.
Day 2: Challenge Course
At the beginning I didn't expect it to be challenging. The easiest event which was the zip line was even challenging. I began to shake as soon as I was climbing us the latter. The second event seemed impossible since I haven't been working on my strength but I gave it a try anyways. Thanks to my amazing partner I was able to get to at least the third log. Even though I didn't make it all the way I felt that I had given it my best. At some point when you're out of shape your body tell you that it is simply not going to happen. When we got to the third log my arms felt very tight and I felt as if I could even hold on to a rope anymore.
There has been more talking than activities today. I'm not sure what it is but I'm completely out of it. I'm looking forward to going back to the coast tomorrow.
Going to the beach was fun yet the ride back to OSU was more enjoyable. I played soccer and a quarter in I was already feeling sore and tired. I'm from the coast but I'm not very used to walking on the sand. When it was time to play capture the flag I was out of energy and my feet were giving out on me. The aquarium wasn't bad. The last time I was there was in fifth grade I believe. I'm glad I'm able to take some memories home with.
